Kos: City Hotels and Accommodation
Kos Airport is situated in the village of Antimahia. Many of the island's most popular hotels lie in nearby Kos Town, which is located around 26 km / 16 miles north-east of Kos Ippokratis Airport (KGS).
Accommodation in Kos Town is located close to a number of sandy beaches and sights of historical and medieval significance, such as the magnificent Castle of the Knights of Saint John. Most hotels in Kos Town are within easy walking distance of a range of local shops and restaurants, many of which are aimed at the thriving tourist industry.
The beaches on the island are amongst the most appealing throughout the Dodecanese islands, known for their crystal clear waters. Most are within easy reach of Kos Town and feature a number of small hotels, guest houses and inns, particularly around the beaches of Agios Fokas, Kardamena, Lambi, Marmari, Psalidi, Thermes and Tigaki.
